Bad News…and Good News!

Greetings again! Firstly, we want to thank you for all your support and encouragement during our time in London. Many of you have called or e-mailed us during our time here, which has been incredibly helpful to us as we adjusted to a different and challenging culture.

Secondly, we have some bad news. We are leaving London a month early. However, there is a reason for why we are leaving early, which leads me to the good news.

We have decided to take the position of City Vision Team Leaders with London City Mission! What is City Vision? City Vision “is a 1 year program for those aged 18 to 30. It is a significant time of personal development, training and useful service, with involvement in front-line evangelism alongside experienced city missionaries.” The entire team is provided with accommodation, travel and food, as they will all be living in the same facility. As team leaders we will provide the team with training, pastoral support and mentoring. We will be provided with housing, food, transportation, and a salary, which means we will be leaving London this Wednesday in order to get our Visa to work in Britain! We will be in America for the month of August (mostly in Florida) while we wait for our Visa to come through. Hopefully we will be able to return to Britain by August 31 to prepare for orientation with the new City Vision Team coming on September 6th.

This is an incredible opportunity for us to serve a city that needs to hear the good news of Jesus Christ. Please continue to pray for us, especially as we travel home and prepare ourselves to come back to London long term.
